On March 22, Virginia Tech hosted the 2025 Virginia State Mathcounts competition in Blacksburg, VA, on Virginia Tech's campus. We welcomed 81 middle school students, including 11 teams, who had advanced through school and chapter competitions to represent their school and chapter at the state competition.
The event was hosted by the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Arunabha Biswas (Math) and Dr. Godmar Back (CS) organized the event, supported by many student volunteers.
